From a young age, I felt a deep desire to be in the service of others—a pull toward easing pain and offering support. This inner drive propelled my journey forward, starting with a bachelors degree in English and Secondary Education and continuing on to earn my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2001.

Since then, I’ve devoted my career to supporting others during their most vulnerable moments—whether as a family services coordinator in organ donation or as a private practitioner, helping clients uncover their inner strength and resilience. My desire to ease suffering and illuminate a path toward healing propels my daily life.

The Human Liberation and Balance Institute (HLBI) is the culmination of decades of clinical work, research, and personal development. I leverage my expertise in mental health, trauma, human development, and attachment to drive the programming and services offered through HLBI.

Dedicated to empowering people with essential knowledge and tools required for holistic health, resilience, and well-being, HLBI provides critical awareness about the interconnected factors causing our suffering and teach skills and strategies that can shift the course of our human and planetary future.

I am profoundly grateful for the many privileges I enjoy, including a safe, loving upbringing and access to higher education. These experiences have supported me on my journey of guiding others toward hope, healing, and transformation.
