Aligned Living Podcast

I’m honored to share that I’ve been invited to join Autumn Swain on her Aligned Living Podcast. Autumn and I first connected at the Social Justice Conference in Virginia this past April, where I presented Breaking the Cycle: The Root Causes of Crime and Violence. Our work carries many intersections—particularly in exploring healing, justice, and the rewiring of patterns that shape our lives.

In our upcoming conversation, we’ll explore some of the ways our brains and bodies are designed for growth and healing. We’ll talk about the hope that comes from neuroplasticity—the reminder that no matter what we’ve been through, our brains can change and adapt.

We’ll look at how understanding our natural wiring helps us close the gap between where we are and where we want to be in our well-being. Along the way, we’ll share practical examples of how someone might begin to “unlearn” patterns from childhood that are still shaping their spiritual, physical, or emotional health.

We’ll also dig into some of the big questions many of us wrestle with: Why do we sometimes fall into self-sabotage or repeat old reactions? How much of that is biology, and how much is choice? And what does it actually look like to move from simple awareness into intentional action, especially when change feels hard?

Finally, we’ll connect this to our relationships—exploring how our early attachment styles shape the way we connect with others, and what steps we can take to build healthier, more supportive patterns.
