The offering, Breaking the Cycle: Understanding the Root Causes of Crime & Violence, explores how systemic oppression, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, and epigenetics shape human behavior and contribute to cycles of crime and suffering.
Drawing from neuroscience, trauma research, and social justice, the program offers a trauma-informed framework that deepens understanding, shifts perspectives, and strengthens trauma-responsive care.
This collaboration not only supports participants in the courts—it also supports the well-being of staff. By offering new ways to understand the behaviors they see, the training helps reduce burnout, build resilience, and invites expansion of how they view themselves and each other through a more comprehensive, compassionate lens.
